Seating Position

My car's been off the road for ages now and I've just got it going again after about six months of not driving it. In the meantime I've been driving my girlfriend's Lupo. Now when I drive my Roadster, I find I don't feel like I'm properly comfortable in the seat. The thing that's really bugging me is that I feel like the steering wheel and pedals are offset slightly to the right.

I don't remember ever noticing this before, and it's really wigging me out. I've had Roadsters before, but mostly with aftermarket seats, and I've always thought the driving position was perfect. Now though I feel like I'm leaning off to one side.

One thing I did do was fit a seat heater kit about a month before I took the car off the road, but I can't see this affecting the cushions in the seat so dramatically.

Am I going mad, or is something a bit out of whack here? Anyone else noticed this in their car?

I have to keep left in my seat. So i dont think things are too far right

edit.. unless im using my ass as a pivot point... brb

edit2: your right. the pedals are in the wrong place. The wheel is center as it should be, but so is the clutch. A compromise rwd cars ofton display.

See to me the wheel feels like it's about 20mm to the right of where it should be. Doesn't seem to be pointing at the middle of my chest. Maybe I'll get a second opinion on the seat. It's possible that months of driving a Lupo have left me used to a seating position which is offset in the other direction, so I'm just naturally not sitting straight.

I can't think of anything mechanical that would put the steering wheel out of alignment, without something being massively and obviously wrong with the car.

The pedals are slightly offset to the right, but I find it's not detrimental to the driving position. Not sure on the wheel though, mine doesn't feel offset but it might be slightly.

I suspect it's probably due to you driving the Panzerwagon for a while. The pedals and wheel are probably offset in that, but to the left (it's WWD, so no transmission tunnel in the way), so now that you're back in the Roadster everything feels way out of wang. It might just take a little while to get used to it again.

I had a Citroen before my MX5 and the Citroen sat way off place, so you sat slightly turned at the hip and its not that nice really..

Where as the MX5 is alot better, so maybe in a few days you'll be back to the good position of the '5
