Fancy a redesign of my doorcards after seeing loads of threads of others projects.

and have decided to do away with the big armrest/door handle.

I'm going to replace them with leather door pulls but want to hide the screws.

Have been searching e-bay for door caps, door handle covers etc but not found anything that fits the bill.

I'm sure that someone on here has made them but a search brings up nothing..

bit like this but in chrome/silver and preferably rectangular.

Thanks

Surely getting some Jass doors would be easier?

Nakamae made the chrome / leather versions, Nielex made some in solid aluminium, and some in Ally / leather

Edit - these look like yours

Russell.
They don't look the same as those pictured fitted to Rob's car. The end caps are longer on Rob's ones and they also have a taper on the leather before it joins the end cap.

I think the ones fitted to Rob's car look better though.

I plan on using these (modified to shorten). . .

You can buy the end caps as well

Alternatively you could use these if you want covered screw heads (you could remove and use just the end caps if you want to replace the straps with leather - still worth it at that price)

Hope that helps the OP and anyone else looking for alternatives to the original nakamae/KFC ones. At those prices they've got to be worth a punt?

Good find on the Lambretta leather (?) stitched handles, they also do various colurs which may match red & tan interiors, or at least be a bood base for re-dying.
They're vinyl.But cheap!

I figure that if they are good enough to hol onto on the back of a Lamberetta they should be strong enough to do the job. . .

Found some more here (says they have black and brown, 178mm or 203mm long, nickel plated ends)
