I'm in exactly the same boat here

Currently run with no door pulls, and its a pain tbh, gotta use the door open handle and make sure you let go just before it closes

I'd like to incorporate an arm rest if possible, something to rest on through the longer journeys is nice no?

 

I thought that but noticed on the drive to work today, that I hardly touch it and am resting my arm on my thigh more than the arm rest.

The extra legroom for my thigh would be more welcome lol.

I want to change mine too as I find my leg rests against the chunky door pull / arm rest on long journeys and after a while becomes uncomfortable.

There are a few people on here producing different things.

They don't look the same as those pictured fitted to Rob's car. The end caps are longer on Rob's ones and they also have a taper on the leather before it joins the end cap.

I think the ones fitted to Rob's car look better though.

 

yeah look like nakamae to me, stupid price new for 2 bits of leather and 4 end caps.

wish KFC was still around so i could get another set for mine

 

Pretty sure someone on here found a decent priced alternative from a supplier of suitcase type handles.

If you could find the leather these would make attractive end caps for a DIY job:

You can buy the end caps as well

Alternatively you could use these if you want covered screw heads (you could remove and use just the end caps if you want to replace the straps with leather - still worth it at that price)

They're vinyl.But cheap!

I figure that if they are good enough to hol onto on the back of a Lamberetta they should be strong enough to do the job. . .

 

Found some more here (says they have black and brown, 178mm or 203mm long, nickel plated ends)
