Don't get me wrong I'm not saying always charge that much! I really didn't get on with gasless, once you get some proper shelter from the wind get a big gas bottle, normal wire(swap your leads back) and marvel how much easier and neater your welds are.
And I always find I'm blowing some holes and have some wire poking thru when I do bodywork, I won't be making a living out of it anytime soon, haha

Your price will go up when you have a unit too.. I see around 50p per hour of the ÂŁ45 I charge for myself, when you take into account the rent, rates, dyno, electric, the days spent on development when you have no customers.. you get the idea.. my wage is low enough to give me full housing benefit and myself, Katrina and Noah near on maximum available benefits all round.... which I absolutely hate... but Ive been paying tax for 13 years so I don't mind being the local scrounger for a few more months while I keep investing business takings in the business. One day this job will earn me a living.

This is the worry I have. Its taken 20 years to build up the business I and my father have fiting kitchens, this still only just pays us both an average wage buy this I mean around 19 to 21 g per year but the work load is crazy as I do the gas electrics plumbing cupboard fitting tiling and plastering. Closing this business and starting a new venture even if it is with some thing a love doing is a massive worry that is why I will try and do as much on my drive at home before adding extra costs to the cash flow. But keeping the neighbours happy with cheep repairs and servicing is not only hard work but only usefull for so long and they will soon complain about the welding, grinding and rows of cars parked in the street.

I also used a red bonnet to repair my mx5, was off my first car, a mini, that I crashed an wrote off in 97, had been kicking around my parents garage since then.
Yeah got to keep your neighbours sweet, and just keep doing what your doing, bit of car work at weekends. Big step after that, there are ways you can fill in the quiet times, breaking cars being the most obvious choice if you have the room.

I pay ÂŁ20 per hour for any welding including materials my guy is x raf trained top quality job

your work looks great ÂŁ100 is a cheap price indeed for what you have done
