Hi all,

I drive a 95 mk1 uk spec...

Been offered some 16" Enkei Rp01's for a reasonable price with good tyres on 3 and one just legal.

I see loads of talk about 14's and 15's being great, but what are 16's like?

Are they too big and heavy for a little roadster?

Here's the wheel style (I'm not sure if these are the 16's he was selling on his car or just a reference):

From the wheel weights sticky, RP01s weigh 14.5lbs for 16x6.5 & 15.7lbs for 16x7, which is a smidge lighter than a lot of the OEM 16" wheels. As they are second hand wheels, you'll probably get back around about what paid for them if you don't like them, worth a shot if you're not a fan of smaller wheels.

Most of my handling issues are from sidewall flex at the moment anyway on my 14's... I'm sure if I do lose any handling characteristics in the wheels I can make up for it elsewhere. Chassis bracing etc I've heard is a major one to look at, so gonna have a play with bits. It's a long list before my daily touches a track next year...
