It's fine, I'm trying to get a decat sorted and adaptor for my apexi (giant washer 130mm OD, 85mm ID with 4" 85mm ID tube welded to it) anyway, that and it had to go in for a full alignment today as it was pretty scary to drive in the wet with it being so out. I recommend protyres by Vue if you need yours doing, cost me ÂŁ70 and everything needed adjusting!

Looking at your IC pipe diameter and routing I'd never get 2.5" through there especially with the pas in. Looks like you're overtaking me now lol
Yeah that was with 2.25", the old pipes and hoses are not flexible at all. The PAS pump has a weird 180 degree pipe on it, if you could replace this it would make life a lot easier.

Haha, don't get to worried iv got the EMB challenge coming round the corner.

I know the pump fitting you mean... I've depowered a rack so goin to fit that tomorrow and see if I can find a way through. My outlet on the turbo is right above the pas pump so should be easier without it. My old manta had no pas and was fine, so mx5 should be ok.

You could just do it in silicone reducers, but 130 seems large to start at?

Will give them a try when im finished boost building, need by drift geo set up doing. Protyre in Tavistock didn't seem to clued up.

Not much to report of this weekend, just got the water supply all sorted. I had some spare silicone pipe left over so replaced some other water lines as well.

Did this to prevent them falling into the auxiliary belts.

I'd have had mine running this weekend if I hadn't been let down by ASH... Waiting on a reducing straight and reducing elbow. Supposedly sent on Monday. Missed out on fitting the flywheel and clutch this weekend.

When do you think you'll be finished?

I also had a Eureka moment this afternoon, the intake on my turbo is 76mm but the AFM outlet is 57mm. So needed to adapt the AFM to suit my 135 degree bend.

So take some 57mm pipe and cut approx 25mm of it, then cut it as to open it out. Then from an other piece cut a small length, so you have this;

Then place the 2 parts on the outlet of the AFM, such it has made the outside diameter larger.

Then wrap it tightly wrap it in electrical tape.

Then slip on the 76mm elbow, it was rather tight and needed a bit of scewdrivering.

There you go, job jobed :thumb-up2:

Ahh that sucks, they sent my stuff pretty quickly. Also it came recorded signed for, so they should be able to trace yours.

My plan is

- 1 weekends = Drill sump and oil return

- 2 Weekends = Fabricate exhaust

- 3 Weekends = Fit injectors (need to get them cleaned)

So I could knock the timing back and have it running in about 3 weeks. Just the black cloud looming over me of automotive wiring, the likes of boost gauges and EMB.

Sounds like a practical time plan. Mines been off the road for 4weeks now and missing it... Emb is a doddle so don't worry about that, if you get stuck give us a shout.

That's a massive elbow! My turbo inlet is 57mm, so got a 57mm 180deg ally elbow then a 57-76mm reducer for the afm. Will prob need to cut bits down once I have everything to get it all to fit.

I need to wire up my map sensor and make a turbo brace this week.

Engine bay looks a bit like this now.

That is looking very clean I have to say, i'm liking the hard piped bends. Got a build thread link?

Also where did you source that vacuum tubing?

I have a build thread but there's nothing in it lol. Haven't touched it since this time last year... Will take me hours when I finally get round to it.

This is the auction 190893549922. Got 5 meters worth. Ironically I ordered it on wed and it was delivered fri. Cam direct from ASH. Going to call them tomorrow and find out where my reducers are.

Go on do an update, I love a good build thread read.

What ID did you get?

Ahhh you doing well and so close to the choochoo sounds, I on the other hand am back at square 1 and have weeks(months at my current pace) of work sorting out rust before I can even think about going turbo.
Can't wait for some vids!

Soon, soon.... ah yeah rust... erm i'm in a similar position. Did most of it last year and have found a new whole on the corner I didn't do, just cant be asked to lay on the floor doing the dirty work.

Yes will stick some videos up, once done.

Maybe... One night this week.

Went for 4mm. I've used cable ties on all ports just incase, but prob overkill. It was a tight fit.
I might opt for a 5mm ID then.

Cheers for the info.

What's that you say you need to keep your AFM... not unless your running MEGAsquirt :D

Driftmonkey kindly exchanged some hard earned cash for a Megasquirt MS1 on a V3 board, along with a VTPS and AIT sensor.
