Mk2.5 Airbag System Removal

Hi all I was wondering if anyone had removed the complete airbag system form their mk2.5 I was thinking of removing mine as it is fast becoming a track car, however I want to keep it mot friendly so want to wire the airbag lights to work as per usual, (better to keep it taxed and mot'ed for getting to and from the track! The mod's aren't a problem for the insurance and I am well aware of the implications of removing the system.

I removed the seatbelts and both airbags from a 2000-plate Mk2. I removed the airbag warning lamp, and it passed the MoT.

There are are couple of threads on here which discuss this. Opinions vary on whether this is a good thing to do, but as fair as I can tell it's legal.

Cheers Stuart did yours have the two warning lights on the dash?

It has 1 ABS warning light and 1 SRS/airbag light.

I had this Problem When i first got here. 3.4 ohm resistor wired in sorts the passenger side and Shows no Warning light ill double Check the resistor though as Im starting to doubt myself!

Did the resistor trick work in the seatbelts too? It definitely is 3.4 ohm !

Only Time i get Belt light is if Im not wearing one so dont Know. But i remember seeing a thread about it and theres a Part that autolink Do that sorts the occupancy sensor
