Ingersol rand make good airtools id look on their website. Just checking when you say air wrench do you mean air gun? Not wratchet?

 

Yeh an actual gun to break stuff loose with, rather then just unwind.

 

Spot on yeah check ingersol rand there air guns are powerful i had a 3/8 one and it undid everything bar bottom pulleys and hub nuts.

 

Most 1/2" drive guns will cope, but anything on a small bore hose will be apparently naff. Get yourself a 1/2" bore hose and high flow fittings. If the compressor is portable, use as short a hose as you can get away with.

IR kit is really good, but I'm not sure it represents particularly good value for hobby work.

 

Yea there are cheaper guns that perform just as good.

IR kit is really nice, but it's a fair chunk of money to lay out on an occasional use tool.

 

What kind of torque do you think I should be looking at? A lot of cheap guns are 240ft lbs ish, but I don't want to be left unable to undo something rusty as iv limited space and no breaker bar. Would 900ft lbs be over kill and as such a waste of money?

 

oh god yea, 900 ft/lbs is mental.
