I am going to put a Honda s2000 engine gearbox and diff into my mk1 and I was wondering if anyone else out there had already done it? Just thinking of any technical info that would help me along my way

IVA territory?I bought a Cat B S2000 the other year, with the intentions of doing this. And as slow mentioned Owen has one in the UK, i believe it cost near 20k to complete, however he does know how to spend his money! (Motorsport Specialist completed it)
You will have too move the rack (which to me seems totally wrong!), or cut the bulkhead (IVA territory)....I was going to go dry sump to improve things (and s2000's suffer from oil starvation on track) and IRTB's. But in the end i thought... nah life's to short, and if you ask owen whether it was worth the money/agro i got the impression he wishes he hadn't bothered.
In principle totally awesome, but just a lightly boosted 1.6 is nearly there anyway. Just Buy an S2000, great car....still look lovely too.
I'll find my 'failed' attempt thread in members rides...F20C something or other.
I dont mean to sound harsh but if you're asking those sorts of questions, this isn't a project you should be taking on.IVA territory?I bought a Cat B S2000 the other year, with the intentions of doing this. What is the whole dry sump thing about?
IRTB's?
Please explain if you have the time

I can take the criticism or abuse no matter how harsh it is don't worry. Say it straight and to the point... I may not know all the technical jargon but I know the basic ways in and around an engine bay.I dont mean to sound harsh but if you're asking those sorts of questions, this isn't a project you should be taking on.IVA territory?I bought a Cat B S2000 the other year, with the intentions of doing this. Well I would love to do it but it seams a lot easier and cheaper to buy a 1.8 motor and bolt a big turbo to the side of it.Hi fella, if you've the time then go for it! I would have loved to completed it, but a tasty turbo lump came up and I took the easier option.
Check out miata turbos conversion threads including Owens (which you may already have) ps I wouldn't ask and questions over there, some proper grumpy arseholes.
Good luck with it!
