Hi everyone bored with cod want something new should i buy it ?? (i have heard it is difficult unless in clans ? i have ps3 and me mates have xbox)

Are you referring to BF3? If so I'd say get it, feel is quite different to COD but imo is a much better game and online experience is far superior to COD. It's so much more real in regards to the actual combat, no more random people doing a jump with a sniper rifle and still getting a head shot and crap like that, like you see on COD!

My only gripe when I first started playing BF3 was how they'd changed the kits around from BF2, but you soon get used to it and it's actually quite a good change.

That's my 2p.

BF3 is awesome, miles better on pc than a console though... if you've got a pc capable, get the pc version

Yes yes yes.

I'm playing them both back to back at the mo. BF3 has a gritty feel to it that I love. It's online play has the edge IMO.

But if your refering to the original PC version, it was the best game ever of its time!

Bought it on friday and have to say its a pretty good game. How do you unlock scopes etc (dont wanna buy them) do u have to play in ranked matches ? also can only seem to join quick game everytime i look in the other servers there are yello expination marks and cant join the game (its all very confusing for a battlefeild noob) really do like it would like it if i could get a little help on these little things !!!

Every gun has about 10-15 unlocks - different scopes, grips, silencers etc. They unlock as you get a certain amount of kills on that weapon. I think its only the sniper rifles that start off with some telescopes unlocked (but even they can be unlocked to the 12x zoom which is ace)

Its a brilliant game - on the PC im still amazed by the graphics, its the best looking game ive ever played. Needs a seriously beefy PC to play it on max settings though.

I think you all need to watch this guys videos. The man is a BF3 legend and does some epic trolls using some immense skill, I often try to replicate some stuff never really to any great success.

Battlefield 3 is definitely the best first person shooter out there.

To be honest none of them have improved on the original Battlefield 1942 apart from the epic mod Desert Combat. The graphics may be crap by todays standards but the gameplay was head and shoulders above anything they've done since. I ran a fairly popular 1942 server for a while. We got into the world top 10 at the time.

Each successive version has been dumbed down a bit more. With 1942 if someone took out your tank with a bazooka at long range you knew it was because they were bloody good with it. With BF2 it was as likely to be one of your own team taking you out by accident.

BF3 is awsome but make sure you get the limited edition as you get the "back to Karkland" expansion pack free. I stopped playing COD after MW2 as it was full of 10 year old boys shouting ****** and running round with a barret sniper and two shotguns....lame

If your a grown up (well sort of) play BF3

Oh i play it on ps3 but the graphics are really impressive on pc and the matches have more players.

I haven't succumbed to the 'Premium' thing although it's annoying to know that I might be missing out on extra gameplay or gucci guns!

I signed up to Premium - ÂŁ40 was hard to swallow when i only spent ÂŁ29 on the original game, but its pretty much my fave game (already done 219 hours on BF3, vs about 400 on BF2). I'll also save a few quid on buying the expansion packs together rather than seperately. Talking of which, the new armoured kill pack looks epic:
Also, the premium assignments at least give you some things to aim for, though i know i'll never bother switching the camo on the guns.

I shelled out for premium pretty much as soon as it was released ÂŁ40 is a bit steep but its 4 x expansion packs + all the nice extras like guns and more assignments to keep you busy and at the moment it looks like it'll be my main game for another year as i cant see anything else likely to take it's place .

Trailer looks pretty cool nice to see some infantry on it i've never got in to using vehicles much on battlefield games oddly .
