Just wanted to know peoples thoughts on header design. I am after an aftermarket set of headers for my Mk3 but other than the options in Japan and US the only other option I have is the IL Motorsport headers but mx5parts only have the 4-2-1 in stock. And they seem to be a great price!
Most of the others I have seen in the US from Good-Win-Racing, Racing Beat and Corksport etc etc all use a similar 4-1 design like this:
The only ones I can get in the UK (as far as I know) are these:
They seem a similar design to the standard headers but better flow and without the CAT:
Will that IL 4-2-1 give me more power but with characteristics same as the standard? From what I understand the 4-1 will give better scavenging and better power at high revs where as the 4-2-1 gives better mid range power and torque?
I am also getting the supercharger fitted in Feb so do I wait out and see if anyone designes a header designed to get the most out of this? Would a 4-1 or 4-2-1 be better for a supercharged engine? Good-win-Racing in the US say they are not making another header as they think the current one is good enough to get good gains with the supercharger.

I am not fussed about missing the CAT as there is another CAT in the mid section and I will extend the O2 leads and relocate the sensors if I need to or use the SIM provided with the IL Headers. I am more interested in which ones will give me the best performance gains.
And lastly the car will be just used as a daily driver with some B road fun at weekends and maye a track day if I am ever brave enough to take my pride and joy on the track.
