Would I Need A New Exhaust For S/C?

I have FM duals on my car which are already noisey - would the addition of a S/charger make a significant increase in how loud they are?

TBH When I switched to SC there was no major volume changes in the exhaust and I have a set of noisy duals an a decat! Some have reported extra volume, but personally I'd put the SC on if you can't live with the exhaust then change it.

One thing I can say is I recently fitted a 4-2-1 manifold and it quietened the exhaust, but I think this has more to do with the duals than th SC!
Thats interesting - i dont see many 4-2-1s about for Mki 1.8's can i ask where you got yours from? - and were there any probs remounting the JRSC above the new exhaust? think i read on one of the other threads that mounting aftermarket exhausts could be a problem for the mini superghcarger diy install.
Not sure on the MP45 supercharger kits using the mini charger but the Jackson Racing kits only fit over certain exhaust manifolds, If I recall they don't fit over a Racing Beat one not sure on others though.

I had a Jackson Racing 4-2-1 on mine and it is fine.

I might have to get a JR 4-2-1, as said never heard of annother that fits. If it fits over a JR m45, it must fit over the mini one, my nose is almost touching the bonnet!

Volume wise, I de-catted (silenced) mine at the same time as supercharging, so was expecting it to be a lot louder as my borla was already not quiet, but I'd say it was about the same, having said that I can't hear it over the whine! :)

It wont make it any louder if mine is anyhting to go by, if it does, then just get a silenced de-cat.
I picked up a secondhand Jasma approved one off Mr Fast (Andy), it fits fine I think the problem is more with 4-1 exhaust manifolds that kick upwards as they come out of the head, there may be the odd 4-2-1 that does similar.

I believe the MX5 parts (IL Motorsports) 4-2-1 fits with a JR supercharger kit, IIRC correctly Skuzzle (Nick) had one fitted when he had a supercharged 1.8 (previous owner of my kit)!
