As per the title, will HKS mk1 shock fit a mk2.5, if not what would I need to make them fit, or is it a non starter?

Complete legs - yes.

But unless they are something fancy it would be a downgrade and possibly a bit low.

They are height adjustable so should be OK. Has anybody any experience of HKS shocks?
