(You may have read this on another forum. I'm cheating and copy n pasting it. Sorry!)

A bit of an intro and hopefully a thread to come back to and update with our adventures.

Hi everyone!

Image

As pictured in her AutoTrader advert.

The conditions I brought her in. A masterclass in breaking every rule of car buying. Dark, Raining, Car with no history, Test drive to the end of the road and back.

Oh well. I'm handy with a spanner. I'll forgive myself for buying with my heart on this one.

Back home. Managed 87 miles before the snow descended and she got parked up for the Christmas break.

The first change. From this -

In my opinion all black 5's should be de-tango'd by law. So -

But that makes the reflectors really obvious. Easily solved -

A sticker! Hey it's my midlife crisis and I will include stickers in that if I wanna!

And last for now, a drift charm. I did slide the rear on a roundabout, by accident. No one noticed but I officially have declared it a drift and therefore I am allowed a charm

There is also the blog if you follow such things. it is at http://www.eunos-roadster.co.uk

Cheers!

Lots has changed on my car since I last posted. I'll mostly let the pictures do the talking.

The rear spoiler got a bit more JDM -

Image

Image

Remember kids, every Hello Kitty adds 10 JDM points.

Image

Japanese market only!

The bonnet prop got changed for Gas struts.

Image

And I put in a nice yellow strut brace. Need to torque it properly yet tho.

Image

I got some quite awesome valve caps.

Image

More JDM points!

I pulled my car-pc out of the Volvo.

Image

Made a new screen case.

Then got it all (quite roughly) installed,

Quick video here of the first power up. It is massively out of focus but I didn't want to cheat and do another take and pretend it was the first power up.

Then the numberplate got changed to an offset and the offside baby-tooth was pulled.

Image

Image

Shame I now have 10 holes in the bumper to fill!

Image

Since tinting your lights will be an MOT fail next year I decided that was for me.

Image

Image

Then began the saga of the fake GV front lip. Long story short if you get a lip without red double sided tape on it then it didn't come direct from GV.

Image

It all worked out in the end. Thanks to Tetsuya Garage!

One very GV spoiler fitted.

There is more to come. These things are never finished! Next priority is that horrible offset!

A quick thanks to the Phoenix fives boys n girl who have assisted. In particular Shogun, without whom I couldn't get my trolley jack out of the workshop.

Posted these in the 'arrived in the post' thread but they may as well get a mention here.

Rota slipstreams. Courtesy of Mr Jibberingloon at NCB Motorsport. They are 15" 8j Et20. That should sort the 'sunken wheels' look I have on the Enkies. I'll swap them when the salt goes away and the Enkies will be stored away as winter tyres.

I'm working on a rather strange BGW addition at the moment. It's still in the design and prototype stage and once it is on I will probably hate it. But it's worth running with it even just for a bit because I will be amused by it.

I've acquired the Carbon wing but the stand/legs/supports (whatever they should be called) are a bit knackered. I'm designing my own replacements.

These are the prototypes which is why they are in 4mm mdf! Hot off the laser cutter
Image
The upper mounts are a total guess. It will probably take three or four prototypes before I am happy with the wing angle. Once I am happy the cad file will be sent off to some company or other (not found one yet) that can waterjet them in ally for me (laser cutter here won't do metal

Nice. You have been busy.
My 1st mod was to loose the white dials too.

Thanks again for your help (via PM) when my boot failed.

I wish the winter would go away! I want to put my Slipstreams on!

I have had to console myself with a wander over to the plotter cutter at work and the creation of a new decal-

I'll not explain it, I'll let y'all guess (or Google).
