I'm with you there TDT! I can't either Just love to faff about with these cars though and its currents state is not the end of it. When I bought it I vowed it would just stay stock but that hasn't happened it's nowhere near the power of the previous supercharged one but moves along quite nicely for what it is and I'm enjoying it immensely.

Well the cats out off the bag! I have taken off everything that has been added to the car ie Meisterr's, wheels, mirrors, motolita wheel, period double din, filler cap, custom centre console etc and car now sits back on OEM suspension and wheels ( TBH looking very nice and standard apart from roll hoops which I've left on ) car been on ramps at RDS Motors for doing the swaps and everyone has commented on how original and rust free the car is. I'm very pleased to have passed this car on to a lovely couple who wanted exactly the car I had, having looked at loads of rust buckets etc, by chance we got connected and a sale was agreed! Just to say, I couldn't continue after a manual box and supercharging, with the auto! Nice drive though it was

I have just spent a full day at the mx-5 owners club and i had more fun last sunday on our run

mx-5 nuts stand was very poor there was no organisation put in to the stand so roll on the 27 of september for another fun day out

Why not go over to the dark side and try a mk2 or even (dare I say it) a mk3?

 

That would be a rather long walk yes..
There is a nice supercharged mx5 on ebay for around the 2k figure which may be worth a look (i must state i am in no way affiliated with the sale of that car). Much better than walking

 

You guys crack me up! I did have a very quick look at that supercharged one maloboi17. Unsure yet quite what to do. MK1 I feel is the right way to go though but I have looked through a few listings for MK2's as well Dave!

yep defo on this one and looks like Dan2008 has already got me added to the list (RU55 ELL)....missed the last one due to being in Turkey, was dissapointed after getting to the previous Olivers mount run...Will be a great run up buttertubs, we did a mazda promo film (

) there last year for the 25th Anniversary and it was a great run up to Tan Hill for a pint.

Just bought the red MK1 that Steve ( Goodwood Sports cars) had for sale one the bay of E. Thanks to Ian at RDS Motors for running me up there early doors today to collect it! Cheers Ian will get some more info on another thread that I started for the auto one.
