, so tell me what would i need for these to work obviously work on the manifold ?? and what sort of power it would be pushing ? photos of your setups would be awesome

thanks in advance

Custom manifold or seriously chopped about standard manifold needed, fuel rail or similar needed if the bike TBs don't come with them, wiring and plumbing will need thinking through as well as some way of controlling the fueling... the stock ECU won't know what to do! Fuel consumption will go down seriously, probably more than a turbo or supercharger setup.
Power will be slightly up on standard, but not by much and to get the best from this you really need a standalone ECU, and to raise the compression... although you could argue if you just fitted a standalone ECU and upped the compression, you would get about the same without all the hassle of the TBs...

Nice sound though...

thanks russell , i absolutely love sound of these too but if theres not really gunna be any power gains its pointless ! I really didnt want to go turbo/sc route as everyone is doing it , also did i mention i love the sound of tbs lol

I'd say don't necessarily be put off, but go at this carefully and plan it well... not all bike throttle bodies will suit this engine, and you need to get fueling, well eveerything needs to be right really!

If you go at it carefully, you could see 170bhp on a 1.6... but the same money / time would probably have seen you over 200bhp with a charger or turbo...

If I had more spare time, I'd probably go the TB route as well, but with all the work done recently by Cat10 / Barry Spiers / Mr Fast etc on the DIY chargers, it will probably be this route for me first... although I do have a nice engine sat in my kit car at the moment thats not doing anything... on Jenvey TBs...

If I have some spare time I'll put a sound clip on Youtube... Simply Awesome!!

if theres that sort of gains on a 1.6 what about a 1.8 ? Cant wait to hear the clip

here you go Fuji Racing irtb's on my last Roadster, with headwork & 4-1 manifold decat & big jap zorst

got it to 170 without filter socks reduced to 150 with, all in all alot of effort & ££££'s for minimal gain

if its all about the noise, then i would concidder some carbs. However there old tech, and allways need attension. There no good unless you understand them.
As a kind of comparison, the Max5 racing guys run about 150bhp on 1.6 engines, totally NA and on the standard single TB...
