They're about 200 quid too expensive though.. Otherwise, they'd be on my car.

And nope, i don't care how much it costs to have em banded.

he's got a point - you'd pay about that for new wellers iirc

OMFG. I got a hard on over those. The price made me flaccid again though, for shame.

the rears are a bit too wide and the stretch makes it look a bit golf cartesque. kinda cool in their own right though

Yep, too wide, but quite cool.

I think i'm going to have this done to a set of the 15" Golf steelies, with about 2/3rds of the dish of the above wheels.

One day. When i re-mortgage!!

i knowwwww my car wasnt set up for them... just tried them on to get some pics, if i had them it would have wide arches and tuckin tyre

your forgetting tyres are about 130 EACH
That doesn't make them more desirable!

Why buy those wheels that are too wide, look a little silly unless you are going the whole hog with "teh look" and then also be confined to buying tyres that cost nigh on £600 a set.

Is this the price some people will pay to make their car look "wicked" and likely do all sorts of un-pridicible things to your handling, geo and suspension - Oh and MOT failings too unless you spunk more cashola on arches.

I feel old...

I just cleared an MOT and the tread doesnt stick out any further than mine, The metal bit on the other hand ...
they are very cool, but they weigh so bloody much!

mate had some 15x8 steels for his mk2 golf, heaviest wheels ever!
yeah i quite like the look but the must weigh a tonne!! mx5nutz can you get em weighed in? just curious..
Something like the old racing Dunlop magnesium wheels would be a 100 times better, reasonable dish, 15" and low weight.
What does the offset of those compare to banding a set of Eunos steels? I am toying with sending my set off to be done and I am pondering what width to go to. Was thinking 14x8's as I want to retain the stock tyres (or go up to 9's on the back with 195/60's if the stretch was too much) but would i still need arches (i'm guessing an ET0 would be where they would finish)? Not a big prob as i can get a set for under ?50, but would rather not have to chop the shell about.

Cheers

surely some nice looking steel rims would be a better start?

i'd never consider putting money into 14" rims. 13 or 15, maybe but 14s are throwing your money away
