Any changes are personal choice, Looks good IMHOHi Guys n gals, like a lot of people with the NA MX5, there comes a time when you want to do something about the dreary inside.
So Ive been slowly gathering old bits of plastic from the scrapper so I can have a go at doing something with the drab interior.I decided to do something about the radio surround, as much as I like the KG Works stuff, I could never justify the cost. Instead I thought I'd see what I could do with a can of paint.......
The pain is some plasticote stuff,colour is called Pewter, the finish isnt perfect, the laquer makes it too shiney, plus I should should have rubbed the plastic grain down smooth, still it looks better than before. I've also added a MK2 MX5 clock and cubby,I did get the BMW clock, but Ive decided to go digital instead.
Ive got replacement dash pads, im not sure if I want to cover them with another material or to get em flocked, Im also going to do a DIY carpeted gear surround, im basically going to do a nakamae rip off, lol!
On another note, does any know where I can source some cheapish fake suede/alcantara/pleather? I want to cover the door cards.
I have just order 1x Meter of black Alcantara from a seller on ebay in black to do my door cards, and will probably flock the crash pads door tops and speedo cowl.
