Seatbelt Collumn Trim Bit

The holes for the cabin brace a fooked on my 5 so I want to bolt the brace bar on the old fashion way with a nut a bolt. If I wake the trim off can I get access to bolt it in? If so how do I get the trim off?

You want to put some pics of this up? I've got to fit a cabin bar soon but no idea where/how to do it.
