I recently lost my keys after the jacket they were in was stolen when I was out. There's nothing with my address on it so I'm not worried about having to also replace my spare but I need to get a new key for my NC. Does anyone know approximately what they cost?
I've not checked with my insurer yet but I think they might be covered, the question is, would it put up my premiums to do so? I'm already with a specialty insurer because of the number of claims in my area so I'm thinking it my be better not to bother telling them.

Trying to use a non electronic key will set the alarm off. Got quoted £260 for a genuine replacement from an independent company, looks like I'll just have to go with that.

The company I suggested supply keys with transponder chips fitted, you just have to program it to your car.
It worked on my MR2.
