Did all WEAPONS, gold chocobo, etc - total about 30 hours. Proper good run

Knights of the Round ftw! I loved my Golden Chocobo took ages to breed one

Gold Chocobo is the one thing I never achieved, so didn't get Knights of the Round until the end where you use it to defeat sephiroth.

If you want a more modern game which captures a lot of the charm of that game, check out Dragon Quest 8: Journey of the Cursed King. It's the only JRPG, other than FF7, that I've enjoyed playing.

wow, I loved this game when it first came out. Clocked up about 40 hours but at least 7 of those were trying to breed a damn gold chocobo! Then I never completed it because I wanted to get knights of the round but couldn't reach it

Ultima Weapon? I seem to remember Cloud only using the Omnislash limit break at the very end.

I played this game so much the ingame clock stopped at 99:99 hours

There was another way to get Knights of the Round, though my memory is hazy on the subject as it was a good few years ago now, but I think if you beat either Ruby (in the desert) or Emerald (under the sea) Weapon you got an All-Summon materia which included KOTR?

PS I have the ost for FF7 and FF8 if anyone would like to listen

Thats the one, emerald weapon. How you could bet it without KOTR I'll never know. I've got the 7 soundtrack, in the process of learning it between my guitar and clarinet
