Hi
We got the second throttle cable on today and started the engine. According to the Moss instructions upon starting the engine the PowerCard should 'show a continuous sequence of lights running from left to right and then a green single light at position one'. Needless to say our Powercard doesn't do this! (The timing card does).
Instead, the PowerCard left hand end LED flashes green and the right hand end LED flashes red.
Does this signify we've got a wiring fault somewhere?
Thanks for any help.

Yes you have a wiring problem somewhere, number 1 and red flashing is a wiring problem on injector 1
Hi Martin
Many thanks for the tips on getting the threaded end off a scrap throttle cable. That's what enabled us to get the second cable onto the car. Today we've fitted an MX5 Dan Universal intercooler.
Since fitting the intercooler we've run the engine in the stationary car even though there are those who say that any readings gained without the engine being under load are meaningless. However we are anxious to convince ourselves that the pcpro is getting some extra fuel into the engine.
When we turn the ignition on the pcpro flashes green and red and this continues, as reported earlier, once the engine has been started. Increasing the revs gradually sees only the green light flickering. It is evident from watching the actuator on the charger that there is no boost during this gradual increasing of the revs. Whilst this is going on the Zeitronix wideband shows AFRs typical of when the car was naturally aspirated, which we assume to be correct
If the throttle is blipped such that the actuator on the charger moves and there is therefore presumably boost, the wideband momentarily flicks round to between 10 and 12:1.
We figure this evidences that the pcpro is getting some extra fuel into the engine when it is under boost.
On the Fast Forward Superchargers forum there is a very useful section about the pcpro. In this it states that when the ignition is on and the engine off the pcpro should flash green and red, when the engine is ticking over the green and red flashing should continue, when the engine is being driven normally the left hand end LED should flicker green, under boost there should be a row of green lights, and during deceleration the green and red flashing resumes.
We reckon this is what we've got, even though the boost signal is brief because of no load, and so we are keeping our fingers crossed that the pcpro is functioning properly even though there are, reportedly, differences between the way Moss and FFS pcpros are programmed.
We'll find out whether this is correct once we get the car out onto the road!
Once again....many thanks for your help
Stephen
