Served me well for a good couple of years but lost it to an icey white line on the East Lancs late last week

Write off

Damage to the forks, swing-arm has a lovely scrape through it. Not to mention the plastic damage throughout.

Waiting for the underwriters to come and pick it up this weekend now.
Swings and roundabouts, I get more time in the car now for the daily commute!

What a waste, writing off a bike like that. It`s be back on the road for a few hundred quid.

Depends what you want to use the bike for but personally I'd buy it back, fix it up and ride it. Appreciate that it can be a lot of hassle but there looks to be life in that bike yet!

Did you buy this back or let it go? As above,looks like a cheap fixer upper to me and/or good track toy.

Insurance declared it a write off. Unfortunately I don't have the space or enough mechanical abilities to have made much use of this

That is a shame, a waste and everytime an insurer writes a bike like this off I hear my premium go up another couple of quid. It's worth saving IMHO. Nice bike to streetfighter too...

Shame you couldn't save it, I've got a pointy front end sitting in my garage! Changed mine for gixxer 1000 front forks, wheel, brakes etc.
Agree, great bikes, had mine 13 years from new, it's my favourite of all my bikes. Quite like the look of the new SV.
