Very awesome driveway too!

As mentioned, last week, Garath at The MX5 Restorer managed to squeeze me into his tight schedule due to a last minute cancellation. I had some very small spots of rust just starting to form on the rear of my sills. It was fairly minor and I probably wouldn't have bothered to do anything about it yet, but as the car is booked in for a full respray next month I wanted to get the whole body sorted prior to putting new paint on.

Here are some pics Garath sent of the work in progress:

And here are a few pics I took after I got it back home finished.

The service I received was first class, the quality of the work is fantastic and the turn around was really quick. Would recommend The MX5 Restorer to anyone. Cheers Garath!

Can not wait for the re-paint now...

Part of the 'getting ready for paint' project has been to repair the Garage Vary 'Nostalgic' panel. This was cracked in a collision with a delivery van. I've now glassed it to repair it and to strengthen it way beyond how it was originally made. I'd always intended to smooth the lock hole too, as I don't have a boot lock and also needed to fill the holes i'd drilled for the boot catches as I'm using a much neater catch solution now (will follow in a later update). However I deliberated for ages whether to smooth the reverse light too, but eventually decided to go for it. I think the totally smoothed panel will look good with the Autokonexion V2 ducktail.
