Not 100% sure which sub forum this is meant to be in, but I'm giving this one a try.

I?ve got a mk2 1.8is MX5, does anyone know where the ODB2 port will be on my car?

There?s a grey diagnostic port in the engine bay on the passenger side, but I don?t think its ODB2.

I?ve looked under the dash, on both the passenger and drivers side, but can?t seem to find it.

Mk2s don't have OBDII.

My '99 model did, perhaps only the very early Mk2 didn't?

You sure about that?

We went through this a few months back when I was looking for how to read diagnostics on our Mk2 ('99). You use the 'flashing LED' method to check error codes, same as the Mk1. US models have OBDII and have since late Mk1.
