Lol..all this facebook cat malarky...i had to get underneath twice to get the code...
Well i was told bp5z was 300 and fp5z was 900!
But i can read p5z part easy enough but the first charactor a rust blob.
So scotchbright tiny wire wheel and wet n dry its finally revealed itself to be a B!!!
So its staying pit aint worth the hassle of rusty bolts and emmissions fails for it...BUT some scroat it might be a pay day so ive painted it with hiigh temp paint. So if its pinched i can identify on facebook selling pages lol. And i grinded out the code so its a £90 cat unless you got the piccies...

Yay its 10ae time woohoo.
Oil change tomoz and tax for April. Swap the road wheels onto.
Ive periodically fired it up and warmed it through and cheeky run around estate so not expecting any surprises.

Well time for an oil change. So 5w40fs oil filter and air filter. Oil was black and so was air filter. 85157 miles. Sparks done last year those increase bhp from bofi 1s
Fitted some blue stuff ebc too ready for monday.
Its rather crusty underthere subframe and arms ..but chassis legs dandy to quote mot man..
Usual shite with ebc.. have to file the ears to get them to fit in carriers and remove backing material to swing caliper im.. of my mate didnt have an account id buy different.

All EBC brakes seem to be like that, rather poor if you ask me, they arent exactly priced cheaply (without discounts) either.

Ive lost count of the times ive filed them to remove powder coating and metal to fit in the carriers. I couldnt swing the caliper in after either due to the stick on backing so binned off.
But they are good.. all bedded in now and stoppage has been greatly improved with so far no sqealing. My mate has an account so they where trade price so where cheap.

Not bad then. I think I'm going to move to Hawks DTC30. I might leave the track car off the road this year though which would be a shame but I need to get the supercharger build finished on the mk2 which is going to cost way more than I thought with clutch, coilovers, custom pulleys, mapping, tyres, etc and then the car needs new wings, a boot lid and a door painting. Will see, it's insured and MOT'd until December so it's only tax I'd need to pay for. I have a theory regarding non-UK A/C condensers (cant find UK ones anywhere and mazda wanted £1200 with staff discount) which I want to test and if I'm right I might SORN the daily and use the track car over the summer instead, without it it's unbearable in the heat (especially as it's black).

I think most of the track days are going to be full this year again so there'd be little point if I cant make the use of it.

So 10ae getting some new hardware...
Chap in our track day group got a spammed up old fiesta...but its had a engine build and ate its big end bearings... and then another set so its being shipped off to the builder to sort...whilst Project Fiasco has been an ongoing saga he has been borrowing my 10ae.. shes been out on track 4 times and looks set to continue for next month or so at least... so my mate whats to keep borrowing and make it better for his driving pleasure..so as a thankful and needed upgrade for track.. set of Hsd dualtech coilovers.. hes put 500 into it and ive bumped the rest up.£150 or so. so went for the budget friendy hsds. With 12/ 9 track spring rates. Cant really budget for the meister club race atmo so these are on the shelf read togo should be here wed for fitting and at Pembrey friday.

So coilovers arrived.. tackle front first as there a pita. Fought me like hell. But all bolts out none stripped. Sacrifised the arbs. Angle grinder for them..no blood yet but sweat and breaker bars.
Now raining lol. Hoping a shower
Good excuse to wite brush the crusty rusty arms and subframe with copious amounts of metal morphises..
Chassis legs Dandy..

nice. Let me know how the HSDs are, I feel like the stiffer rear is a bit more suited to track work than the clubrace, not that iv any complaints
