Very local popped up on facebook.
Non starter 85k. £700.
Thought perfect for 6 speed and torsen big brakes etc for turbo project...
But its in vgc 1 owner car with hardtop. Suspect crank sensor as non starter.
Legs on the turn...cills have patches.
Paid deposit pick up tomoz.

Lol went with trailer to pick up..
Turn over in 2nd gear to move it and she started straight up...garage mechanics faces were a picture...so drove it straight onto my trailer...at home little whizz around nice n tight...shes restarted 10 times straight...BUT there is a small puddle of coolant on trailer. So either WP or 1 of the little coolant lines...ive ordered already a crank and cam position sensor...ill change both...
Happy days.

Nice contrast. I wish s spec drove as nice as 10th....
Its by no means a shocker but the 10th feels so tight.

Repaired with spare i had ...then the rusted head crank sensor bolt...what a bstard....
Hammered a 9mm on and blast of blowtorch...
So leak rotted bracket off..bracket fell down and mullered sensor face..cable squished too.
New crank sensor n bolt fingers crossed.

Looks like a good buy, and you've got a proven history with starting (AND FINISHING) a project as evident with the Eunos S and RX7 happy tinkering :)

All checked over this morning and still leak free quick hoover out and rummage through boot.
A very dirty gen mx5 hardtop bag and what looks like wall hanging brackets.
Unblock rain drains...flush through all clear.
I think it will go through mot as is...so use for april and re mot in may. If it passes then up for sale as rolling resto for sombody else as i want to concentrate on turbo project, depending on level of fail do and sell or park up for winter project.
Switching tinkering to mx5 turbo now.

That really does look like such a good buy !! I would be interested in a comparison/review between this and your S-Special once you have put few miles on it. As a V-Spec NA owner, I've always been curious about NB's.

Both are being taxed from april...
So can back to back compare.
The photos dont show the rusty arches and 1 wing is rusty at the cill...but the cill is fine..i know this as its lifted off.
Its only done 83k...whereas my s is on 120k...it feels tighter....and the 6 spec box is awesome very revvy. My s even though i say it myself is in fantastic condition and being a mk1 with pop ups its a nice place to be..im really looking forward to taxing it.

I love that Laguna blue on the S models. My last one was a 1994 example in that colour...probably my favorite colour on these cars. Yours looks great.

WoW,

taxed it and took to work for nightshift.

As a road car its epic just wants to revs love the suspension HARD S no roll atall. feels tight, feels quicker than the 0 to 60 time suggests.

I took the wifes Civic fk2 type r to work monday night. I prefer the 10th as a roadie.

I may be keeping this 1 and sell my S. free up some cash and do the arches on it.

its taxed so my daily for getting to work for abit to make up my mind.
