Roof roof roof...what a palaver... got myself in a pickle with windscreen sealant... got it everywhere...massive clean up operation.. piccies tell the tale... hopefully stay put at 130mph.

So boot floor? Is it structural?
I need to vent more air...to stop the race roof buffetting...gonna link up the big holes with 2 grinder slits?
It flexes alot but its corrugated...so i dont know...
I suspect its corrugated for rear end hit.
I can put in some tie bar across the top or underneath if is.

I realise this is probably a silly question, and I should have read previous posts, but why not use proper roof mounting’s?

Its a lightweight race jobby. Fibreglass 4.9kg. No original fixings.

I defo want a roof. Been there with a Westfield. Wet seat. No security etc and added aero.
Maybe have to fit vents but i got 1 crack in rear screen already....lol

Why not fit some original roof clamps onto your new roof?

Its just does not have the rigidity of the original design. Its so flexible for fibreglass. I dont think its goona move now as added alot more fixings.

Mucking about with more vinyl...lol... someone needs to bin it all and same me from myself.
Scooby...i think ive finished it...lots of jobs done and £££ spent..but its now leak free. Squeak and nvh free. Stops starts and goes well too....and its all oem.

Boot floor isnt structural as long as the 2 rear box sections remain, the sheet metal is just to keep the groceries inside the car. Seen plenty of people cut it and flat bottom it, you should be fine.

I do think im gonna cut holes in rear window though but no fancy vents just vinyl over if raining..cheap skate i am.
