Well brace on albeit half of it. Just slitting disc in grinder sorted a treat. Id be lying if it said it wasnt a faff. Banged my head on splitter and chunk of flesh outta my thumb to fit. Looks like oil filter should be ok to get off and nothing touching it. Alternator power cable oil cooler hoses all clear.
Clutch master tomorrow

Totally peeved off. Fitted new master.. nothing.. wouldnt bleed. Adjusted rod twice nothing... so back off original back on but wife now on a call.. so gotta sit n wait..for her to finish. What a waste of a day.

Well crazy day...now got no clutch... a little preventative maintenance gone wrong.
Cant get any fluid down to slave either original or new master.
With clear pipe on slave nipple. Open pedal down..a little fluid then just air bubbles.. no fluid comes down.
Took it all off and tried on bench seems to get a fluid circuit put back on nothing.
Boundville sending me oem rebuild kit for my original master and getting a slave from local motorfactors.
Ive down lots of these on various cars in the past fit bleed clutch lovely jubbly rather annoyed.

Yep done that. Transferred to car.. nothing.. just air bubbles.
Exact same set up on the rx7. Fitted new master slave znd braided line. All sweet. No idea whats going on. I opened bleed and blew down line. Clear no fluid after 25 plus bleeds. The master just not pumping fluid. Have another go sunday got work tomoz n sat 12hrs had enough for today. 6 hrs of shite. On off bleed on off bleed. Tried every combo ive ever needed.
Might try syring bleed next.

Lol. The original master turns clean brake fluid black. The new 1 mustve been pumped 400 times if it not priming is fubar.
The slave is new but the dust gaiter is torn.. start again..cheap parts.

Yep. I went for pattern part.. but boundville so thought would be fine... got a few days to sort but my blood was boiling few hrs ago.

while I hate to admit it, I've bought some genuine Mazda parts :whistle:

you can get clutch slave cylinder rebuild kits for ~ £20, generally the cylinders body is fine and after a light hone is ready to go again B)

also, vendor loyalty is fine but Autolink & bofi are not always competative when I've looked (have bought many times from Autolink but...)

Finishing work at 2pm tomoz.. then fitting brand new slave n master bench bled it will be sorted tomoz. Really really annoying me being broken lol.

Yep relief.. had tobe a duff master. Replacement from local motorfactors identical, same reservoir same casting marks on flange etc.. prob seal in back wards or summit. Thats me done with preventative maintenance
