After abit of advice...
On turbo selection...
So car is a 93 1.6.
It had i believe a chinese gt2860r

Which i feel is too big for a 1.6 and staying stock engine.

So my choices are gt2560r and gt2554r.
BOFI have been very helpful and recommended the gt2554r.

Im assuming will fit straight in..

There is a slip joint on the downpipe so can be adjusted closer to smaller turbo...

The car has running stock clutch and was running actuator pressure on an external WG ...no idea on spring pressure.

Any wisdom greatly appreciated.

Ive got zero chance of mapping atmo how things are but be nice to get up and running and check engine ok. Will be mapped when clutch done.

its getting a gt2554r.. ordering the turbo thursday.(payday, ive been on ssp for 6 weeks!!!b4 this virus back at work check im getting paid!) Due to this virus Danial has offered remote tuning to get me up and running.

whizz it around at 170ish on standard clutch check all ok then fit clutch and source a 4.1 torsen and go back for more boost later. hopefully on a track later in year.

Ive got the buckets and harnesses from the fd to trial fit and once sourced some oem seats for that.

1 day off so its arch rolling on agenda and junking these awful fibreglass wings.

First round of parts ordered...turbo fun!!!
Im doing arches today and mess first 1 up...
As im not just flattening lip im try to createca flair...i cut some slots in arch to relieve...looks gash atmo see if i can sort but im really not bothered...sort of practice anyway. And in keeping with rest of car

Got 1/2 in extra..so should be able to get a track 225 in there no problems..
No relieving cut on passenger side...life n learn.
Piccys of ls wiring as requested..looks like wasted spark still to me.

Twiddly my thumbs abit waiting for tubby so took sparks out...its running rich which is fine by me..atmo
Leaky rocker gasket as no rtv so redone..more rust protection...
Clean up oil leaks so can see if sorted and any others...raining now so...in garage instead.
Just wanna fit turbo..make sure runs...look at any fitting issues leaks etc before removing and any fab issues.
Gcf rollcage waiting for me to pull the trigger on as £600 cheaper than caged and still msa complaint....
Any ways few piccys...
Seen fibre glass doors on ebay quite tempted...and the carbon miata bonnet and bootlid...
2nd piccy hardtop stand brackets any ideas how these attach?.

So cracking on going over install.
Ive found a prob i jeed help with...tidying up intercooler install noticed iac air hose badly kinked and no clips on it...on removal just pulled off..it is just 3/4 id hose...
Looks like i need a standard hose but im assuming wont reach the tail on the bofi intake pipe. Been awhile since i had mk1 1.6 so cant remember what plenum is like...looking at piccys online the plenum tail looks higher....any help appreciated.

Found 1.6 mk1 piccy...totally different...so no point buying standard hose.

I reckon i need to buy a silicone 180, a 90 and a 45 some alloy couplers and see if i can join up some configuration....problem being loads of joins...not good for elimating boost leaks.

The intercooler kit shows standard pipe but its never gonna be fit as iacv tail is 60mm higher...i noticed on iacv there is a grub screw maybe i can point tail down...

I was under impression was a bypass for idle when throttle body closed? Car is mafless so could block ic....

depending on ecu, you could remove the iac completely & rely on the throttle-butterfly (& iys bypass screw) for idle adjustment (sorta what I've done but left it attached as still using a standard ecu & didn't want fault-codes)

I've also removed & blanked the 'thermo-valve' on the inlet manfold (by number 2 injector) and deleted the smallbore coolant pipework
