Wheel Tire Car Vehicle Sky

Hello - my 4th mx5, first NB. I’ve had a standard mk1, a heavily modified (supercharged) mk1, a 2.5 sport vt and now this, my first NB. I’ve been out of the MX5 game for a good few years - things got gradually faster but less fun. I’ll be leaving this engine wise and focusing on getting it looking and cornering right.

Possible sacrilege but it came v low with BBS reps, which looked great but aren’t quite me. So I’ve raised to 310 front and 320 rear and stuck some OEM rims on.

Next job is to sort the failed MOT - any sill repair recommendations in MK?

then it’s a decent geo - again any recommendations welcome.

cheers!

Apart from avoiding "specialists" with a Leighton Buzzard address I can't really recommend anyone locally. Ultimate Car Refinishers (MK17 9AA) are't too bad, but in my opinion I'd suck it up and take it to mx5restorer or totalmx5 repair. They will for sure do a better job than others and are also likely a lot cheaper. Alternatively I might be able to stick a patch over it for you to get through the MOT this year but you really should get it sorted properly.

TBH doing it yourself is likely the best and by far cheapest method. It's not the difficult with a half decent MIG and some patience.
