How do you find the body roll and cornering? What have you done to increase handling? Genuinely curious as might pick up a cheap NC if I see one that needs welding.

If you put sticky rubber on it, it rolls A LOT. I changed the suspension to a lowering Bilstein B12 (B8 shocks + Eibach Springs) and mounted some beefy adjustable ARBs. Now it handles a lot better and it responds quicker. The suspension is still too soft for semi-slicks, but I also use the car on the street so it's a good compromise.

Dunno if I’m a newbie cause I’ve had my nc over 5 years but thought I’d put my first post here… it’s in tuners atm having new 1-4 manifold and remap done. So far I’ve lowered it and widened track and done bits to interior. Looking forward to feeling a bit more power!!!

Hello, I’m Ted. Originally from Ireland but now living in California.

I have a 2001 “Miata” Special Edition in British Racing Green. I’ve been smitten with these cars since I got my first, (a well worn ’99 NB1 in Classic Red), a few years ago. A couple of years later I saw my first BRG Miata and knew I wanted one.

I’m not sure how common BRG MX5s are UK/Ireland and Europe, but in the US they were only sold in limited numbers as the 1991 Special Edition and 2001 Special Edition, so they are somewhat uncommon to see.

I'm keen to learn about Europeans MX5s, (especially mk1 and mk2s, and especially BRGs), and hopefully contribute a little to the knowledge base here.

And I’ll try to use the right lingo, (MX-5 vs. Miata, NBFL vs. NB2), so as not to appear that I’m trying to Americanize this community

I fallen ill into MX5 10yrs ago. My first was red NA 1.6/90HP. Owned for 7 years afaik used for fun and pleasure in general.

Now having NC Niseko with L5 engine tuned myself on RomDrop

Im doing electronics diagnostics, service and tuning of NCs (RomDrop, CC retrofits) and other generations. Now preparing to replace original ECU with Speduino PNP on my friends NBfl 1.6
