Hi all!

New here and to MX-5 life - I've just picked up my (a couple shades of) white 1990 Mk1 today, and am looking forward to the adventures that lie ahead (thankfully with the assistance of a rabid MINI fan and some lovely vintage & veteran aficionados that think I've gone "very modern!") No MOT at the moment - a few brake issues to sort - but I'm hoping to have work done in good time for a fun summer and maybe some autumn rallies.

Expect LOTS of questions!

Hi everyone, new to this forum. We have an N reg Mazda MX5 MK1 and a MK2.5. Bit cheeky to ask on first visit but do any of you know where I could get all the parts required to convert the MK1 to power assisted steering. Thanks in anticipation and looking forward to being part of this group.

NEW here but not to cars, my 35th build i think., as this is a total immersion for me its my first on a Jap spec Auto 1.6 i may need some fine electronic guidance.....its done 270k and a thumb nail size rust thru scab on the rear front of r/h wheel sill [aka rockers] , i stripped it to below its knickers, for a total rebuild, to discover or uncover what i had bought in Deepest Devon last April and had it fetched home 600 miles to me in the Emerald Isle, aka Ulster during early May, we were still in lock down.. susp rebuild brakes, steering, bushes , pipes, on all the wheel boxes, guards off to see what the inner wings were like, interior trashed and torn out, hood replaced , off to my paint guy who took the windshield out doors and bonnet and trunk lid removed for a total refinish in the original silver, new windscreen required and he did a superb job luckily he didn't have to go deep as the paint was all there just dead and worn out after 28 years and zero rust on the top or lower sills, full picture and dossier kept of all the work..almost completed, its with a friend this week who's doing a 5sp manual box insertion for me, then its down to a retrim. more later, heres a few pics to be going on with.. will

Hello. My name is Dino. I'm a Rock Musician from NYC. I now live on the Gulf Coast of Florida. I work for Apple. I'm a gadget computer guy more than a car guy but I was driving a 2000 Protege' up until 8 days ago. I finally saved my pennies and bought a 2008 MX-5 Miata PRTC in Burgundy. It's an Automatic. I know that is frowned upon on these forums, but it was by choice and I love it. Have no regrets. Thanks for including me in your club. I am glad to be here.

Hi all!
I don't currently own an MX5 but looking to get a Mk1 as a light project on a lower budget this year [hopefully!]. I've always loved the pop-ups on Japanese cars, which is why I am on the lookout for a Mk1.
Long time JDM fan and I currently daily a Mk1 Honda CRV, with Forester STI in the garage for the sunny days (as below).
Cheers, and looking forward to joining the community!
