Hi Guys,

I'm new here, I had for 2 year an mk 2.5 1.6 Open Air which I just sold. Now I'm searching for either an mk3.5 or a mk2.5 1.9 liter to chase the fun .

I believe in that how the car came out from the factory it should also be kept in the same way, so no mods on my cars

for steering components just remember mk1 fits mk1, mk2 fits mk2 :thumb-up:

if its the cooler pipe then try a temp fix of rubber hose & jubilee-clips, the cooler is on the return line so no pressure just flow to the reservoir

Hello all another newbie to the forum! I'm new to the MX-5 and wished I got involved earlier! Owned a '99 NB with a turbo conversion for about 4 months, bought as a basic turbo setup so it's got plenty of potential to play with. Look forward to chatting with you all at some point.

Hi I'm Cherry,

I bought an 2006 MX5 about 2 years ago and so far its cost me a fortune but i still love it.

I've joined because I need help , a friend who was looking after my car while i was travelling decide to clear my drain holes (roof drain holes) which i was very grateful for but now I can hear the sounds from outside from one side of the car. I have had a little inspection and the side which the noise is coming from i believe is missing a flap. So with out replacing the whole drainage system i was hoping to just replace the flap? is this possible? what do i need to buy? and can anyone direct me to a utube video for a how to.

I'm the kind of person who can usually work out maintenance issues & fixes by googling but this ones stumped me :-(

Any advice is gratefully received.

Thanks

Cherry

Yoooo!

New to the nutz forum, regularly on the facebook page but this appears to be far more useful!

I have a 2003 mk2.5 which came with the 1.6, for now.

I am currently undergoing a full restoration and a Jaguar V6 conversion without the pricey rocketeer kit!

I have an instagram for my progress, @cftmx5

I look forward to asking questions and picking your brains, or my brains being picked what ever floats your nc, i mean boat.

Edit: I have made a blog for my progress https://charliethomasmx5.blogspot.com/ . I will try get my progress so far backlogged and up to date

Hello everyone, I'm Kenny from Luxembourg.

Got myself a Mariner blue NA from 1990. it's in pretty good shape and has no rust.

Love the car to bits, I've done a few things to it and it's always in constant progress. My aim is to stay pretty close to the original look and feel, but try make it a better car and make it good fun on the Nordschleife - I live very close to it.

Will present my car in the appropriate section :)

Cheers everyone!

Hi - Nick from Kent here. Just bought my first MX-5 for some fun after decades of boring family cars. It's lovely, drives beautifully! I am looking forward to some tours of UK after lockdown now that I have retired.. Off to the Yorkshire Dales in June if we get some freedom.

Just agreed to buy a Gleneagles edition from mx5cars.com, they are going to renovate it for me. The car is in really good condition for its age, solid underbody, engine sounds sweet as nut, but the interior needs some TLC. The tartan cover round the gear stick could do with replacing, but the only place I can find Gleneagles tarton sells it in 4meter lengths which is rather more than I need :) Found a genuine Gleneagles steering wheel which was missing for some reason, but it's got all the other bits like the Tonneau cover, tartan handbook cover etc. The seats could do with reconditioning, so if anybody has recommendations for a company that can do that it would be useful.

Hi All,

New Montana NBFL MX5 owner! Only had it a week and love it!

It does have a rust hole on the drivers side front jacking point which I only noticed after I bought the car . Otherwise its in remarkable shape I think!

Anyone know any decent places for a repair around Leicestershire? I have seen Thrussington Garage but haven't been able to get through to them.

Apologies if the above should be in a different section.

Regards

Marcus
