Nb fl ecu on Na

I want to supercharge my mx5 and I'm on a budget. So basically I found 3 standalones that are at the same price, but one is for mk1 mx5, mk2 and mk2.5 mx5. The ecu for the mk2.5 model is the best, as it has the most options and capabilities of all at the same price of the others (all are plug and play standalone ecu's). So my question is, can I fit a Nb fl ecu in a Na? (1996 1.6 engine Mazda Mx5 Na). If no, then what do I need to modify?

The harness connectors are completely different.

You will have to use the ECU schematics to work out what each pin does and wire them accordingly.

Simple in practice but a lot of work and you will likely not have any working basemap and have to start from scratch.

It'd only make sense if you swapped in an VVT motor and all the harness.

Which kind of messes with your budget some don't it

BTW I've got two ME221 for 1.6 NA spare if you want one. Those are actually programable
