Well after seeing a thread from another nutter saying he had thrown the Nardi steering wheel that he had started to refurbish in the bin, i contacted him and he kindly sent it to me for nothing, yes nothing. Well i got started on it this is how it was when i got it.

where the refurb had been started.

After a lot of hard work and the purchase of a Nardi horn push and a Nardi boss both from the nutters on here. The wheel is now waiting to be recovered and once done will be on the car, now i know i could have bought one but its better and more satisfying to see the result of the hard work.

like i say wheel is now ready to be recovered and now looks like this.

top job col
Cool, in similar vain, I have a spare Nardi Classico that I'm going to remove the black paint on the spokes to expose the bare metal underneath.

What's that boss you have? Does that replace the rubber covered standard boss? If so, I want one too!
Great!
I'm trying to figure should I buy Prototipo that needs furbish.
Could you please tell how you did the leathering. Where did you buy it, was it just normal leather that you cutted to model and then sawed it to the wheel? Do you happen to have pictures of making of it?

Hey its a Nardi boss i got off nutz, stripped all the coating off and polished it up. (your pm box is full by the way)
Thanks for the heads-up!

It's nothing like any Nardi boss I have seen, I've heard something about a 'genuine Nardi boss' but they might not be made any more.

Did it start of as something like this?

yep sure did and after a lot of work it turned out as in the pictures
I didn't think I would get excited by a steering wheel boss, but I MUST HAVE THIS!!
