Came that way luckily, i think there has been a few people who have restored them, but personally i wouldn't know where to start!

 

Ah ok fair enough, I think aircraft paint stripper + a bit of sanding and some varnish should do the trick. I don't mind losing the black band so much... Great looking car pal

Nice one on the MOT.

Flocking looks great, although the heater trim rings would look better chromed as to match the dials as, for me, the wood seems to get lost somewhat in there. In my opinion, of course.

I agree the chrome rings would look good and I did consider swapping them over. But now these are back in, there is no chance of me pulling them out after the hassle of doing it first time round!

Lets just say they are in pretty tight lol

I wonder if you could help me too bud. I've currently got the tan speaker covers with grills, and am looking to get the polished teardrop style; do your doorcards mirror the shape of the cover itself, or is one of the bolts a dummy bolt, and supported from behind?

Did a quick google search and they can be fitted but a think you need to make new holes in your door cards.

Thats what the door card looks like without the chrome cover mate.

The black backing bit is screwed in from behind.

Finally sourced some mirrors i was looking for,

Popped to AK automotive to check out a few bits and bobs they had advertised on here and spotted these beauties...

Really pleased with how they look and the visability is not as bad as i predicted either

 

I think you need to donate those mirrors to me as one of my chrome ones has broken.

It was worth a go lol.

 

With the latest shiney additions to the car showing up the rest of my parts, i decided to give them a quick polish up and a coat of fk1000p sealant to try and help them stay shiney!

Zoom lid, exhaust tail pipes, arc chamber, mirrors and wheels all treated

Just need to find a single hoop retro roll/style bar now...

 

Just purchased some zoom side markers off a chap on here

Will update with pics when they arrive and are fitted to the car.

I want a Jasma. I quite like the sound mine has now even from just a Decat. Don't want it any louder but the catback will be strangling it I imagine. What inch are the MX5parts zorsts?

 

Just checked their site and it says 57mm.

Mine is very loud (all twin exits are the same) but my mate has the same system as mine but with a single exit exhaust from mx5parts and his sounds a lot more sensible.

I will see if I can get a vid up of them both.
