Been lurking round the site for some time now so thought it was time to show off my V-spec roadster.

Heres a few pics of the car i came from, 2001 Fiesta ZS owned it for 3 1/2 years and was a fantastic little car.

Car is staying with family as my parents have bought it so wont really be missed!

Anyways ever since driving my Dads mk2.5 mx5 i had to have one, always prefered the mk1 mx5 and always fancied a black or green V spec.
So after a few poor examples i made the 200 mile round trip to bring this home...

Came with a few nice extras like tan hood cover, stainless manifold, engine brace and bilstein shocks with lowering springs.
Want to keep the car pretty much as it is with a few subtle mods, planning on silenced decat and mx5parts single exit exhaust, the ride on the car is at times very hard so might invest in a different suspension setup in time and finally the wheels need refurbed but i am also keeping my eyes open for a new set.

Due to a few marks scuff scratches etc on my black dash top, i decided to have a go at removing all the black paint which should leave a nice tan finish underneath....

Saw a thread online where someone had done the same and it came out really well

Mine has not lol

Simply can't get the old paint completely removed.

Plan was to respray the crash panel black and leave the top tan. Now it looks like the dash is going to have to come out and be resprayed black.

i've already changed my dash, as the original one had a massive crack, but the new one has some scratches, wish i'd taken the time to respray it while it was out.
pretty straight forward, only problem i had was the imobiliser was linked into the dash loom! took a little time to work out where all the wires needed to go.
Car looks fantastic by the way!

Took my Zoom fuel lid to a mate of mine who does mirror polishing (soljeggers on here) to give it a going over to restore it to it's original condition.

No surprise it came up amazing, here is a couple pics...

We didn't have the time to remove the lid and get in all the tricky areas but still a major improvement

Made some progress on the inside too. All black plastic bits have had a coat of plastikote and also the chrome rings have been sprayed black as i have grown tired of the bling.

50/50

And both

And where i am at with the whole interior.

Need to buy a pair of demister covers for the vents closest to the window to cover the remaining black dash paint.

Dash board looks 100% better. Nice job. I've had a few arc chambers before and always look good.
