Took the car out of hiding for a quick clean...

Need to get it taxed and back on the road as its killing me not driving it

Got a few more bits i need to buy for it like door speakers etc and have now decided the hood needs to go as it's a mess!

New hood is now moved top of my priority and i now need to find one asap as the rear plastic screen is removing itself from the hood

Made use of the dry weather and got the interior done on the car.

The drivers seat was starting to a look a little worse for wear as it had been exposed to a bit water due to my leaky roof. Decided to give both seats a good clean and conditioned them aswell.

Never got any before shots (wasn't something you could really capture it was more the feel of the leather that was off) but here are a few aters

Just phone pics but you get the idea and for anyone wondering the leather treatment used was 'gliptone liquid leather' which I would definetly recommend

Also just finished a detail on my GFs mini, so the 5 is next in line for the same treatment.

Rolled the car out of hiding to get it ready for going back on the road.

Full machine polish followed by some fk1000p to seal the job

Will be driving it again anytime in march, cant wait!

Next on the list is an oil change and some new exhaust rubbers.

Well another job out the way. Finally sourced a replacement hood off here. Its a mk2.5 mohair with heated rear.

Initially wanted to just pay someone to fit it but after reading a couple of threads it didn't look too hard, so with the help of a mate we tackled it.

Have to say it was a very easy job which if i had to do again would probably take half as long to do.

Looks much better than the original and keeps the water out which was the main thing!

No pics yet but we all know what they look like
