Is there an easy way to see the timing mark on the bottom pulley?

I spent a while with a peice of sandpaper on mine taking away deposits around the rim, then went in with a screwdriver "feeling" for the notch (as it was completely invisible as it had been filled with corrosion etc). This required turning over the engine a few times to gain access to the pulley, once I found it I blobbed it with tippex.Is there an easy way to see the timing mark on the bottom pulley?

After some trouble shooting and major brain racking ive got the car running.
crash course in MS setting up thanks to Miataturbo website helped.
the timing was out by a lot.
I managed to clean the bottom pulley with sandpaper and find the small mark.
then also play about with the MS setting to get it to run nicely.
Just need to get the water temp sensor working now
