Hi all,

My mk1 doesn’t have an undertray fitted so I’ve bought one, but does anyone have a list of what size / type bolts are needed. I know there is a complete kit you can buy, but £25 for a few bolts seems a bit excessive! Hoping I can source the correct bolts much cheaper.

Any advice much appreciated!!

Pretty much 10mm hex head and 6mm thread if my memory correct.
Get a handful of m6 m8 and youll be fine.

Most of them are flanged M10 set bolts.
I bought a new undwertray and all the bolts for my RS from Mx5 Parts.

10mm head is not M10.

As Zed says, they're all M6x1.0, 16mm long. The proper bolts are flange head and have an 18mm captive washer but you can use loose repair/mudguard washers.

If I remember, three of them, the front ones are self tappers with an 10mm head.

Yes, 11 fasteners in total. The 3 along the front are chunky self tappers into the plastic air guide. The rest are short M6 flanged bolts except for two which are M6 flanged nuts - at the upper front corners there's a stud on each side (if they haven't rusted and broken over the decades) which the undertray fits onto, then the slim metal strut from the corner of the front bumper, then the nut.
