Hi guys, I recently changed the cambelt, waterpump, aux belts, all coolant hoses and fitted a new rad to my mk1. Once I got it all back together I started the car, it then idles for 2/3 seconds then dies. I am at a stopping point and am unsure what route to go down as the car was running fine before this work. Any advice? Thanks

You got all sensors plugged in? And the vac line plugged into the intake accordion? ( its underneath). Sent from my SM-G977B using Tapatalk
Hi mate, yes all sensors plugged in and vac lines. I’m at going to the car this afternoon to double check everything but I’m fairly certain everything is as should be.

I'd check the Diagnostics with an LED to see if it says there's a sensor that's not responding. I'm tempted to blame the AFM too but it's just a guess.

The small air hose under the main throttle inlet is connected, right? If not then the idle air wouldn't be going through the AFM and that might upset it.
