Metal Pressed Plates

i wouldnt, why put metal on a car that attempts to use very little in production?

IMHO its not about the weight of the plates as that would be negligable, more about going against the ethos of the Elise.

Are there legal issues with metal plates? It would seem a shame to get stopped and done by our friend in blue for something she doesn't need/want.

I think anything other than bog standard plates look gash on modern cars. Plates are the one thing on all cars that are of the same style* so when you see a car that doesn't have legal plates they stand out really very badly.

*when legal or not on old classic, black silver.
