Look for the flash to pass mod in the search engine.
As from factory they shouldn't but it's a simple mod.

Headlight Popup On Flash
I had a silver J reg Eunos about 5 years ago. I seem to remember that when I pulled the headlight switch to 'flash', the lights poped up, flashed, then sat down again.
Now I have another J reg Eunos, brg, tan leather nardi torino v spec, and they don't.
So, I'm guessing either a) I just imagined it and I'll accept that I'm getting old, or

Anyone want to put my mind at rest?

I guess your old car had already had it done.

you need to do the flash to pass mod. it's dead easy...
