Just bought a hardtop for my 2000 NB and went to plug in the connector for the heated rear window and it’s completely different. Why is this? I still have the one off the soft top. Can I just swap it?

Mk1 vs Mk2 fitting is the reason they are different.

Not sure if you can just swap it, I assume you would just need to splice spade terminals on to the wiring harness that fits your car and then attach to the glass.

Best wait for someone that knows that is safe to do though.
