Harddog Question

M2 sport fits the mk1 , it's what I have (it think)

Isn't the only difference compatability with the glass rear window and folding the roof down? I would have thought physcially they bolt into the same places

it works with a glass rear screen as thats whats on his car so should work with my glass rear screen

while not wanting to snipe anyone's sale, if it works with a glass rear screen, it's an ace. it's the only one that does afaik. none of the real bars work with the glass screen because the rear stays go too far back. it's essentially a TRLane GP bar...which i also hold limited faith in.

for the money, you'd be better with a TRLane TD bar.

oh well back to the drawing board, not a fan off the TR lane ones will just have to hold out for something else, my glass screen will be going soon when i get a new hood.

they're really quite good. i was skeptical for a long time, but they represent very good value for money. the material spec's higher than the HardDog too. if all you're hung up on is the initial poor designs, the TD's head and shoulders above the dark days.

the powder coat's not the most durable i've had and there's a few bits of undercut on the welding but i think i got good value with my purchase, and that means a lot coming from me.

if i had the time and the bender, i'd make my own combining all the best bits, but i wouldn't be without my glass rear screen now i've got it heated.

Pretty sure you'll find the M2 sport is glass screen compatible , the rear stays have a crank in them to accomodate
