Is this the same as a 'front gearbox seal'? Gearbox is on the floor and ready to take apart but I want to make sure I've got the right seals before I start...

This is the seal at the front. You need to remove the front cover on the shaft by undoing the 10mm iirc bolts think there's about 5 of them and then remove the old seal and replace with the new seal. When reinstalling the cover use a little sealant around the mating face too.
Umm---didn't take in the bit about you had it on the floor already Never mind, the photo might come in useful for somebody else wondering the same thing in the future
Cheers bud. I didn't want to crack that front face off without knowing I had all the seals ready to put it back together again. I hate leaving things unfinished if at all avoidable!
I'm guessing you will do already but replace the release bearing while the box is off too and a little copper slip on the input shaft splines and the release fork.
You guess correctly As far as I'm aware there isn't anything remotely gearbox related that isn't being changed, hopefully I don't come across something that I've forgotten to order!
Fingers crossed it works when it's back together, got quite a few other jobs to do first before I can start it / drive it. Bit nerve racking!
