After getting my car back from painting a few days ago I finally got the chance to give it a clean and get some decent pics. I'm really happy with the work done and the final look and the minimalist back end is probably my favourite bit.

A quick pic of how I bought it off Gary H about 9 months ago.

and now

Big thanks to Goose (Night Walkers) for doing all the prep work on the car.

Anyone who hasn't spotted my project thread showing its progression, its here.

I'm definitely very happy with the final look

Not to keen on the rear light, and if I was you I would of had the side markers filled and painted. Apart from the it looks spot on, a good job well done

Looks fantastic, back end is superb. Ducktail is ace
Like it, I think you need to paint that front lip though. What did you do with the 3 spoke wheels?
Had a good look round this earlier on.

Nice job done on that to be fair mate, get that passenger seat in

What a great eye-catching car. Well done, looks the bizz. Agree about the front lip - get it silvered-up!
looks good. hows everything else with the car ?

In what respect mate? Epic really though, 216bhp, mk 2.5 interior, very near to exactly how I want it. Detail in the project thread linked to in the 1st post.

Andy, the 3 spokes were sold to fund the rotas.

Everyone else, cheers for the comments, makes all the effort worth while.

looks very nice! Only gripe is with the GV lip being black, kinda hides it and takes away from the profile shots, might look good painted to match??

What's the name of those old wheels? They look tasty for 3-spokes.
1000 times better, looks really nice and the fresh silver looks great....

It reminds me of mine from the rear

They're Super Advan's aren't they? I've always quite liked them.

Nope, they're Mazdaspeed Rays. Were on sale on here for about a month before they actually sold, can't remember who to though. They were mint, I just wanted 8" wide wheels since the day I got my first 5.
Yup, quite a rarity - I bought them off Roland originally!

Looking good matey - I think the GV looks good au natural and will look too much like a bodykit if painted, if you know what I mean.

Cracking road car you've created, should be fun on the Euro trip

Cheers mate, glad you like where I have taken the car.

But "road"
Nothing is less suited to the track than when I had it off you, in fact it now has more FIA approved bits and about 45 more horses
Without the hardtop I doubt it weighs any more either. Basically, it will still attack the track just as hard, but look prettier doing it

Booked up so far this year is Combe in April and again in May, Prescott Hill in July, Llandow for a few open pit days and it should see Nur this year too, can't wait.

Yay. Had to add a temp numberplate to the front, but she just passed her MOT, no advisories whatsoever, only compliments

Well chuffed. Putting my ACT clutch in her today
