After almost 10 months of my 5 being off the road I finally took it for its MOT and after 45 minutes of stress and worry it passed with only a few advisories......
... But it's now decided to start hesitating as I accelerate. MOT tester said that a spark was jumping from number 4 coil pack pin under load. All the leads are new and the car idles fine so not sure what the cause could be. Anyone had the same issue and managed to solve it?
They're magnecor 8mm jobbies which have been on the car since February. Leads are all seated properly. What I dont understand is it idles fine but when under load it just feels sluggish.
Check the MAF and clean that. Also check your intake pipes for cracks. A hairline crack in the inlet causing an air leak or a dirty MAF can cause hesatations
