Emanage Blue Wiring

I have an Emanage Blue I want to fit to a 1997 1.8 MK1 and a Patch harness that would save cutting up my factory fitted harness, similar to this one.

I have read the idiots pictorial guide to E-Manage, but that deals with a 1990 installation. Is there a guide for a 1997? Do you splice the 1 & 3 and 2 & 4 injector wires together on the 1.8 before they go into the ecu? Also where do you ground the injector harness? I'm still not sure what is cut and whats spliced and would appreciate any advice given. I tempted to just bite the bullet and spend the ?130 buying a boomslang.

Dont! buy a Boomslang half the time they are not right and you have to change the wires around!

Just do some cutting and re-wiring.

Ive just taken mine out and it has reminded me how simple it is to install

Oh...you just tap the injector wires from the EMB to the existing, so it can add injector duty

The timing wires you split and then make a pass thru the EMB with ignition harness.

is there any chance you could take a few pictures and provide a wiring diagram.
I really am struggling with what needs to be done.

I've started soldering onto a patch harness but am having trouble identifying the pin outs, using the pin out below can anyone advise me on what connecions are:

RPM signal
Air flow Meter (ECU)
Air flow Meter (Sensor)
Throttle signal
Injector Earth

I take it that the VTEC Soleniod and VTM Signal wires on the emanage injector harness are not used?

I have found the MAF pin 3B - Green wire from the emanage harness goes to the ECU side and the white goes to the sensor side. Does that sound about right?

1997 Mk1 1.8

Where, and what is the best wire to tap for an RPM signal on the ECU loom?
I've been googling like mad trying to compare the various pin outs to match the idiots emanage install guide. I know I dont need all the wires on the Emanage Injector and ignition harness. So far I have the following:

ECU Power +12v Pin 4B Spliced
ECU Earth Pin 4D Spliced
RPM Signal Pin 4L Spliced
Air Flow Meter ECU Pin 3B Cut
Throttle Signal Pin 3F Spliced
Injector Earth Pin 4C Spliced
Injector 1 Pin 4U Spliced
Injector 2 Pin 4V Spliced
Injector 3 Pin 4W Spliced
Injector 4 Pin 4X Spliced
Ignition 1 Pin 4N Cut
Ignition 2 Pin 4R Cut

Does that all look correct?

Hmmm....

Well I did mine on a 2 Plug ECU.....

And used all the info on http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=513

One thing I did find was the RPM signal on the ECU didnt work, so I ended up looking at the colour of the wire on the ECU, and then took the intrument panel off and then spliced the same coloured wire and took the signal from there
