I'm not sure what your asking. The 1.6 loom isn't going to work with a 1.8 is it? Different air flow meters, ignition system...

Your starting from scratch, so are you saying you can't find a diagram that matches your car? Or you just looked at some posts and lost the will to check?

Perhaps speak to rev about sending it back for modification. I believe he makes them plug&play. Usually he provides them but he may mod one. Then your time is better spent at work getting paid to drink tea, so you can pay him rather than hurt your head.

 

I'm sorry, it is not a pnp so there is a 20 inch loom that connects the ms2 to the wiring harness of the car. That loom is now for a 1.6 and should be modded for a 1.8.

The thing is that a lot of people say the pinouts are different for EU cars compared to US or JDM, but no one seems to have a wiring scheme of an EU MX5.

As far as getting paid goes, I'm a student so my time is pretty much free.

 

Have you tried sending a PM to Reverant on here? He builds Megasquirts for EU and JDM cars of all years '89-'05 so he should certainly know what the difference is between a Japanese and European '94.

 

Hi all. First time post, just came across this site. I happen to be doing almost the exact same thing (wiring an MS3-PRO into the stock harness) and ran into the same problem of not being able to find the EUDM pinout diagram for a 94. If anyone has it on hand and would be willing to share it would be much appreciated!

I tried him after you suggested it, he basically told me to fuck off if I wasn't buying one of his ECUs, even though I offered to pay for his pinout schemes.

There's also a bit of discussion around the differences with European cars. It would at least be a basis for checking the wire colours in an EU car's loom, to see which don't match.

Already had those, but they are for a Miata, not an MX5.

 

I have a '95 UK 1.8 which I recently fitted a MS2 diy PnP to, and used this:

Although it's not specifically for an EDM 1.8, it tallies with my oem ecu and loom, and helped me out a lot.
